Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had many abilities, which included the ability to act, direct, produce, write plays teaching, as well as be the director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain, while her mother is a "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's earliest memories of attending rehearsals for play and observing her mother at work. As a child, she appeared in several commercials.
