Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. His father was Argentine, of Scottish-English descendance. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish as well as English. Taylor Joy has four brothers and sisters, with one coming from each of her parents' prior marriages. Family was in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, then moved to Victoria district in London. Taylor Joy said the move from Buenos Aires to Victoria was a struggle and she did not learn English and was hoping to go back to Argentina. She had to switch schools from Northlands and then Hill House. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in shows. At 16, she left the school to pursue acting as a career. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to become an actor. Her dream was granted a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management she offered her an opportunity as a model.
